Mental Health America of Abilene (MHAA) 2nd Art Gala

Mental Health America of Abilene Art Gala – art exhibition and fundraiser gala at The Mill, Abilene, Texas.

You are invited to attend our come and go gala and enjoy live music by The Geoffery Drigger's & Abilene Rhythm Section, The Mill's famous sangria, a cash bar, and delicious hors d'oeuvres while viewing (and possibly purchasing) incredible art in historic downtown Abilene.

T.M.Gand will share how she used art to heal and grow through mental health challenges.

Art is a powerful medium. We will be showcasing incredible work created by talented local artists along with stories of how the art expresses the mental health journey.

Our goal is to raise funds to continue our crucial peer support recovery services for those who have mental illness in our community. With proper support, most people can learn to cope and minimize symptoms and live fuller, more productive and meaningful lives.

We help people learn that recovery is possible.

This exciting evening will showcase some of the best artists in the area. Talented local artists have loaned their work to our juried show and includes each piece's connection to mental health struggles and healing. Net proceeds from art sales will go to the artist with 20% being donated to support MHAA's mission to provide leadership and support for hope, recovery, and mental wellness for all.

By attending, you will learn ways you can make an impact in the mental health community. We will share what MHAA is up to, what we have accomplished in the last several years, what we hope to do in the future, and ways you can partner with us to make a lasting impact in our community and improve lives.

Originally from Wisconsin and a student of structural engineering, Tracy moved to Texas when she married her Air Force sweetheart, Marcus, 23 years ago. They have three beloved cats and share a cute little house together.

T.M.Gand now enjoys a 660 square foot studio in the downtown historic district of Abilene, Texas, in the Cockerell Building, 1133 N.2nd Street, Studios, Studios 207-208.Her studio is open to the public the second Thursday of each month for Artwalk in downtown Abilene.
